European Education Summit
Orchestrating a youth inspired gathering for pedagogical stakeholders
Highlighting excellence in vocational education and training
14 - 18 October 2019 — Helsinki, Finland
This year, Cecoforma had the pleasure of organising the European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion’s (DG EMPL) 4th edition of the EU Vocational Skills Week.
Cecoforma’s strong project management know-how led to the successful event welcoming over 1000 guests! Special guests included Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility and Li Andersson, Finnish Minister of Education, among many others.
Tasks such as the organisation of travel and accommodation for more than 600 participants were some of the primary responsibilities overseen by our project managers. Our team handled the booking of moderators, performers and translators; coordination on-site including venue visits; arrangement of signage and decoration; collaboration with security; recruitment of hostesses; on-site badging; technical assistance to all meetings (parallel sessions, Award Ceremony and Closing ceremony); VIP and protocol management; coordination of the catering (coffee breaks, lunches, gala dinner for 850 participants); construction of stands and preparation of activities (such as ‘Open Minds’); production of a video and presence of a designer on-site.
A highly experienced team was dedicated to the project from start to finish. Our expert project managers worked in close collaboration with the client to ensure all requirements were met. Cecoforma prepared the event by organising several scouting missions and liaised on a daily basis with all local partners. Team members were specialized in specific tasks such as hostess management, technical support, protocol management and VIP coordination.
