Celebrating 30 years of MEDIA in Europe
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology tasked cecoforma with a communications campaign for the 30th anniversary of MEDIA in 2021. The project specifically stemmed from the Audiovisual Industry and Media Support Programmes Unit. cecoforma has a long-standing relationship with Creative Europe, of which MEDIA is a sub-programme designed to support European film and other audiovisual industries.
Having engaged with MEDIA across Europe for several years on many events and communication campaigns, our team is thoroughly familiar with the objectives and fully competent to actualise desired results.
Our talented team was tasked with the creative direction of the communications campaign, the storytelling including the new slogan “Stories are meant to be shared”, the new visual identity and communication system, graphic design. We produced three campaign videos and a Virtual Reality (VR) experience; social media campaign including paid advertising and a dedicated website. We worked with The Others and Beluga Jungle to make our wildest dreams come true. MEDIA had yet to produce a VR project which was an exceptional opportunity to showcase our flair on this exciting anniversary.
Our social media campaign targeted the hearts and minds of citizens to showcase how the MEDIA programme has been supporting the audiovisual sector, as well as industry professionals, to showcase the collective efforts and outstanding achievements of the European audiovisual community over the past 30 years.
